A song that got me moving based on Psalm 138
Thoughts I am thinking
There are so many wonderful and beautiful things in this world. God truly makes all things lovely in their time. We forget how blessed we are in the business of life. The Lord is always at work. He cares about the little things, the little details, the little by little that actually makes up the big things.
- Praying with a friend in a difficult situation
- Praying over someone hurting
- Phone calls with strangers that bring unexpected laughter and joyful connection
- Late night conversations with the Lord that change how you think about things
- Little road trips and seeing beautiful and gloriously built churches

- Love and joy from little grandkids who express it so well your cup overflows and your heart swells. Love notes, snuggles, little smiles, hugs and kisses.

A blessing to me
I have a grey metal desk and a grey metal file cabinet. I had recently ( 6 months or so) been thinking about one day when I move my desk upstairs that I want to get a table for all my papers. I’ve been using a old wooden tv tray as a side table. Tiny spaces dont allow for spreading out much.
But my mom and I went walking at the mall this past week and we stopped into a bit like a antique/thrift store at the mall. I turn the corner and there is this grey metal typewriter stand. I also found that little wooden tray box on the bottom because the stand has a ledge that is sits perfectly on.

So apparently wood and metal are my style cause I love it.
This little one I think is going to be a singing baker

Little Lessons
Sometimes we have these looming fears and anxieties that haunt us. They slowly creep in the back ground and hide under our praises and joyful exclamations.
If you listen closely to what you actually say and let your actions be your answer you will see the fear and anxiety hiding behind. No one wants to admit it. I certainly don’t. But none the less they are there. Fear hiding under concern. Anxiety beneath the slight guilt trips and upset feelings that are being expressed.
Are they valid concerns? -sure
Are the feelings real? -yeah
But are they the truth or are they the covering for fear underneath, like creeping charlie amongst the clover. You can see and hear and feel its undermining and slightly off-the-mark feel.
Here’s the thing though – your body feels the fear and worry but can’t distiguish between the perception of it. Is it anxiety or excitement? That is where the enemy gets us is in the perception by the hiding of the true motive below.
If fear is the culprit and it expresses as anxiety – we act in perhaps controlling, guilt trippy, and emotionally manipulative ways. But if fear is felt and turned to the Lord, we can move to the perception of excitement because the One in whom we trust is given the offering of truth, “I am afriad, Lord.” And here comes the shift, “but I am excited for what You will do with this situaiton.”
Same fear but this perception shift allows God into the box hiding in the back closet of our minds and hearts. And our body can relax and let go, allowing God to lead, guide, help, save, and take care of the things, the people, the situations that we have been afraid of.
I choose the light of excitement rather than the worry or fear which is a type of dark light that can skew the sight.
“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light within you is darkness, how deep is that darkness!
