Stand up for truth and find balance!

 stand up for truth:

The enemy wants you to believe you should get some credit for something someone else did ..or He wants you to believe that another has done you wrong. or …or …or …or …the list could go on and on. When you hear the lies and it affects your emotions..making it seem so much worse (of course) then the opportunity opens up to see the truth. Is it your own selfish ego demands!  Walk  in those demands and you will cause discord and hurt, choose wisely and see the truth , repent and let it go!!

Sometimes when things like this happen – WHEN OUR EMOTIONS ARE AFFECTED it is hard to see the truth. We can feel swallowed by the feeling that we were done wrong. When we begin to brood about that and if we don’t catch it, we will find ourselves right in the resentment and bitterness categories. Blaming and gossiping and making a mess out of a nothing. These are the little foxes that spoil the vine. They are the things that we believe from the enemy  and we have just bit the bait. We make it into something when it is nothing. We have no facts…we have no grounds…we have no foundation…we just FEEL wronged!!

Feelings are not facts….

Feelings are a gauge. They are like a thermometer for the heart. They give us indication as to what is happening within. These feelings are given to us to help us know when something is balanced or not. When we feel anger, hurt, sad, and bothered – these tell us something has changed and now we have to go find out what changed. When we know what it is that caused that feeling. Now we have to find the facts. Is it a valid reason? Are we really wronged??…or did the enemy just feed us a worm and we are hanging off the bait!!  When we feel  joyful, uplifted, and encouraged – we ought to look at these carefully also. Did we just get an ego boost of flattery that made us feel better than someone else or did we get a genuine love gift???

If you have ever tried to walk on a narrow beam, you know that balancing can be hard. The wind blows at just the right speed and you teeter. The best way to learn to balance is while holding someones hand. If you teeter they can counter balance so you don’t fall. Hang on to Jesus…He is the truth we seek and it shall always be revealed when we are holding His hand.

Proverbs 12:17 Amplified
He who breathes out truth shows forth righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), but a false witness utters deceit.

To me this last part means the false witness is unbalanced in his ways…stand for truth!!!

and find balance…

  1. Feelings are not facts. They are forever changing. And you make a good point to not just look at the “negative” emotions: bitterness, anger…but to look at the ones we want to feel like joy. We could be joyful in the wrong things. Like something bad happening to someone who doesn’t like us, etc.

Our emotions can get us into a little t-r-o-u-b-l-e @ times! (speaking for myself!) Thank GOD our feelings are not facts (as you said in your post), but they are just feelings! Sometimes (alot of times) I have to rewind and start over, choosing to FEEL differently and respond rather than react to certain times, situations and things (for ex. total chaos in my house – 2 teens and a 5 yr old!!….smile….deep breath…haha)
