Psalm 143 I love you, every morning, infinity

on

Psalm 143:8 Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You.

I am always struck by how God speaks to me and helps me understand His word by what I already understand. My brother-in-law for as love as I have known him has has a fun little way to tell my sister that he loves her. He just texts, writes, or says, “143” the number of each letter to say I love you. So when I saw that today was psalm 143 – that was the first thing I thought of. Then as I listened to the passage I noticed that the verse that stuck out to me the most was verse 8. 8 is the number for infinity.

David is asking God to cause him to hear His lovingkindness in the morning. Mornings come every day. We can trust the One who is infinite and does not change.

Father, thank you for your lovingkindness. Thank you that you know how to tell us that your love is ever here and coming toward us. Every morning your love rises and covers us. I am so thankful that you are a God that can be trusted. I trust you, Lord. What I hear your word say that your lovingkindness can be heard every morning, I also think of how your mercies are new every day. Thank you God for a fresh day. Let the things of yesterday fall away and I stay present with you today. Teach me the way that I should walk Lord. Help me to walk in holiness and joy. I lift my soul up to you. I give you my mind, will, and emotions today. Work through me and have your way, Lord. I love you Lord! I bless your name, Jesus. I trust you, God. In Jesus name.

Thank you for praying and listening,

Starla
