Quotes are fantastic. They say something. They reveal something. They speak to who you are. They relate to us. They say what we feel often better than we could say it ourselves. We pick them out. They show us our focus. They show us our heart. They crack open the good, bad and the ugly parts of ourselves, sometimes showing if we care to really see. We are a reflection of the quotes we like.

So with that said here are some quotes I like:

• “I don’t think that word means what you think it means.” The Princess Bride.

I love words. They help communicate me. I don’t like to be misunderstood but it happens. People hear what they want to hear and so do I. It is in the asking of what do mean by that – that helps us relate to each other. Dont allow wide gaps of misunderstanding in your life. Ask questions and find answers. Seek first to understand and you will find understanding.

• “Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence. ” – Robert Fripp

I love to sing! I enjoy old time gospel for the harmony. I lead worship at my church. I like all kinds of different music. 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, Alot of 80’s, some 90’s, and bits of all the 2000 somethings. Every time I walk into the bathroom in my house song lyrics fly through my mind: Sitting on the dock of the bay….Somewhere out there, beneath a pale moon light….Somewhere over the rainbow……When somebody loves you it’s no good unless he loves you all the way….When I had you, I treated you bad and oh my dear, since, since you went away…Music speaks to my soul and fills the silent places of my mind with melody.

People are amazing. I love them. All their interesting quirks and differing interests. This quote compares people to substances reacting to each other. I think that is very cool. Some people are like Chlorine which is a disinfectant, these people are busy putting clean thoughts out there when they hear negativity. Mess up their white as snow lives and they will burn your eyes out. Some are like Water giving life-giving drinks and help to those around them or drowning them to death. Some like Oil there words are thick and stick in your soul helping you to grow through encouragement or allowing you to just keep sliding along in life. Some like Gas they either propel you to do better or burn you to a crisp.

Ok those comparisons were a little too fun to write LOL

Talking. I love to talk and chat!! I like communicating thoughts and ideas and writing is a favorite pass time. I like to have good conversations that are connective on the deepest levels. These are the kinds of talks that stay for days and churn within my mind creating concepts and metaphors. Sometimes birthing mind pictures and poetry. These communications can be so intense that it feels like fire from heaven in your veins, like the Spirit of God is pressing out of the pores of those conversing.
