We took a trip to Grandpa’s house.
David got a bug catcher.
He thought that Grandpa would have lots a bugs at his house, so we brought the catcher and tools when we took Sarah to stay for the weekend at Grandpa’s.
We pulled on to the drive and David began to say
“Hi, Grandpa!!
I like Grandpa!
He is my best friend ever!”
–so sweet! :0)
As soon as my Dad was finished showing us the work he had done around his house and yard. Dad said….
“ There’s the porch if you
want to have a seat
or you can go in, I’m with him!”
And they turned on their heels and were off..
On an adventure.
David said “ you got a shovel?” ….yep!
They went digging for some bugs.
I snapped a few shots and left them be…
in their own little world to dream and imagine.
Later I found them under the trees.
Looking for buried treasure!!
( Dad said later that they had found a dime. :0)
They were looking under bricks and digging holes.
We barely saw them the 2 hours we were there.
They came in for a bite to eat and then…
they were off again to the park to play. :0)
I like to walk with Grandpa…
His steps are short like mine.
He doesn’t say…
“Now, Hurry Up!”
He always takes his time
Most people have to hurry…
they do not stop and see.
I am glad that God made Grandpa…
‘unrushed’ and young like me.
