Today Grandpa came to visit. He brought M & M’s to share with his Grandson. :0)

Then they went outside to play. Earlier today I was using the dandelion picker. David asked me if he could do it.

Several times I asked him to go ride his tricycle, or to put the ones I pulled in the bucket I had.

But when Grandpa came. David got the bucket and the picker out, and that is when I saw this.

My Dad took the time to teach him how to use the picker.

 

Nawww….not like thaaaaaat!!

 

I sat back and watched for a while marveling at the patience my dad has —really it is just:

“enjoying the moment.”

you gotta push hard… are you getting it?? … yup~!

 

They worked hard, all the while my dad is encouraging David and reminding him to make sure you can see the words on the handle because that tells you that the picker is pointed in the right direction.

They worked hard, talking and hanging out in their own little world. They picked a lot of dandelions.

They had a good time and when they had finished all their hard work, they made ICE CREAM!!! lol

I like to walk with Grandpa…

His steps are short like mine.

He doesn’t say…

“Now, Hurry Up!”

He always takes his time

Most people have to hurry…

they do not stop and see.

I am glad that God made Grandpa…

‘unrushed’ and young like me.
