Monday continued celebration

I woke up to beauty.

Hubby and I went for a drive.

We went down to Kalona and enjoyed the trees and fall scenery. We drove the 1965 Chevelle. We’ve always enjoyed a nice drive. My mom tells stories of taking drives with her dad. I remember going for drives with Grammy, just to see what was there. Where? Anywhere! About 10 years ago, we got this car, and we’ve had many a drive through the countryside, getting ice cream, stopping at little roadside places along the way. He knows my love for little road trips.

We stopped in at Stringtown and grabbed some goodies.

Birthday #2

We celebrated L Pretty Eyes (my dear son’s girlfriend) – birthdays are a real thing around here for us. We love to celebrate them. Hubby (birthday the other day) and L both love to shoot. She’s been practicing with her dad. So they went target shooting on Monday.

Then, when they got back, we had dinner, balloons, cake, and gifts. We love her! What a sweet person. She can handle that young man!
