Well, here I am at the end of the month.
The first week was all naps and getting oriented to rest.
The second week was a road trip with my dear daughter.
You might be thinking, “Isn’t road tripping exhausting?” No, actually. It is so filling to me.
The third week, I spent time with friends.
This last week, my mom and I took the grands #1 and #2 on a road trip to see my sister.

They were great road trippers. My had a bag of toys. My mom loaded some kids-friendly movies on her tablet, and we hung up a bungy cord to hang it. They had snacks and their own cup holders.

By those giant smiles, you can tell they are excited.
We stopped at a park to play and walk a bit. This was a nice little lake.

Grand #1 got to read some history too.

When we got to my sisters’, they got to paint!
My sister has a pinched nerve in her back and declined the offer for us not to come. We had a lot of fun. We hit the park, the farmers’ market, got Grand #1’s hair cut, and drove out to the lake.

The girls played in the sprinkler and hung out together.

The last day we hit the creek, so the kids could have a good ol’ adventure and swim in the clear water. While we soaked up some rays.

All I have to say is make time, take the trip, love your people!
Thanks for listening,
Starla
