Advent: Day 20 – Anchored

Do you believe in miracles? Do you believe that God is at work in the small and seemly insignificant. That these are the beginnings of a miracle…like a little boy in a manger who is the CHRIST from on HIGH!

God meets us right where we don’t believe. – Ann Voskamp

When our dreams are long thought to be dead…

When our hopes are dashes and we sit in ashes…

God is ready and able to make us alive.

ADVENT – His grace comes to breath life into barren place.

There was 2 years that the whole world fell in. Full of death and separation. Laces with hurt and pain. No absence of loss and less. I wondered where God was and what He was doing. I can remember certain moments when His voice whispered in soothing my soul and giving me hope like a little rope tethering me to Him.

“Don’t worry about tomorrow, God is already there.”

It is a simple statement rope for my soul that held my thoughts and heart firm to His goodness. That same statement holds me still like a resting place to park my ship, so that, I do not go off into the sea in need of rescuing. Then it was so hard and I simple stayed in port with my King. It is there that His arms that have held me and made me safe without need of anything but Him.

Journal this or at least ponder and bring your thoughts to God:

When you feel most un-tethered where do you go for anchoring? When we unravel He is preparing to come and make things right. Take a little time today to listen for His whispers?
