I love how in life everything gives me opportunity to think deeper !!

Repentance:  changing your mind about Jesus Christ and turning to God in faith for salvation If you have not turned from the sin,  toward Jesus to wash you of it based on what the Cross that Christ endured has already done for you and started walking in a new direction called new life. Then you didn’t repent because I’m pretty sure you are still defending your sin, stepping on the blood of Christ and there hasn’t been a change. And yes we will do this over and over and over until He returns. How do I know? I know because I have done this over and over. When you stop defending your sin humility comes. With humility comes the power of God in grace, love and forgiveness.

Salvation

we think it to be

that space and place

where we chose to accept God

our perspective is bent

my perspective has been bent

Salvation is the glorious pursuit of a God who refuses to stop loving you and me despite our sin

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

He sacrificed His Son to pay for what we have done and what we will do

so that He  could love us with an everlasting love

So that we could see His goodness

Romans 2:4  Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Repentance

a word despised

why do I say that?

because instead of running straight into the arms of the Father

straight to the foot of the cross when we screw up time and time again

we try to save ourselves instead

justifying and reasoning away what we have done

ignoring and denying our sin

we can not save ourselves!

we can not overcome!

if we could God would not have sent Jesus at all

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

Repentance

is His Goodness on display toward you

Lay your sin down

pick up His holiness and walk away clean

Acts 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Walking in a new perspective

I didn’t get clean because I repented

No, I am clean by the grace of God!

I am clean by the love of Christ!

I am clean because of the call to repent

that beats within me through the power of the Holy Spirit

That’s the salvation of our God to every man.

HE HAS SAVED US!!

HE HAS OVERCOME!!
