Do you know the feeling is like a ripping and tearing at the marrow of your soul? A distancing between us/our sin and our Lord and yet because HE loves us so….nothing breaks us from Him. ( so thankful for His faithful love.)

Sometimes we put a simple hand up -A mental/emotional full STOP and we turn off our listening ears.

The separated knowing within…we drift

an ever so light walk away ….a falling away

We feel it in friendships…

We feel it in our marriages…

Its when we feel like we have to YELL to be heard. The distance between hearts is so vast that touching the vulnerable spots and coming into unity seems impossible and sometimes we just plain don’t want to be touched.

 

We build walls. I build walls.

Holding at bay with a stiff arm.

Leaning hard against the door of my heart …bracing for the push.

But GOD doesn’t push…

He knocks

People push…I push…I’ve been pushed.

How do we climb back into the presence and embrace of God? or those we love…

James 4:6 …….God gives grace to the humble.

Pride promotes strife – that is the title of the section in James 4 in my Bible.

Then it starts in:  Where do wars and fights come from? Is it not from wanting your own way.

When we do what we want to get what we want. Pride says “I CAN GET WHAT I THINK I WANT BY WAR AND FIGHTING.” – then James basically says when you do that you are being a friend to the world -worldliness.

And we only get broken fellowship for our selfishness because GOD RESISTS THE PROUD. It is the same in relationships =resistance.

When I am proud, my pride say ….I THINK I KNOW WHAT IS and I am going to prove I am right.

Presumption is belief on reasonable grounds or probable evidence.

I can add up pretty quick what is going on and if I don’t like it I can also gather evidence and take it to you=confrontation. Doing this in PRIDE does nothing for communication or building a loving relationship.

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

I am finding that I may “know what is” but because I fight for  “ being right” or proving the other wrong…I am automatically placing myself in the PRIDE column and so simply because God is who He is ….I face RESISTANCE.

James 4:4 You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

God help me…brake my fall and restore me

Renew my mind

Thank you that I am not where I use to be….
