A Romance

I call to you – A song

God I call to you, Draw me close – Romance me.

Let me see all the ways you’ve set me free

So I can run to you, I hear your tune

Dangeling in the air for my ears hear

I want you, this wild love you offer

I need it, let me shine my true colors for you.

-Starla Smith

I wrote that song a few years back. It still remember the deep intense love I felt when that song came up out of my heart as I spent time with the Lord.

I am a ROMANTIC at heart…

I want to WRAP truth around my finger

I want to fly to HEIGHTS unknown with trust

I want to STAND next to love arm and arm

I want to WALK hand in hand with grace

I want to TASTE every morsel from heaven

I want to SMELL every rose from God

I want to HIDE away in the evening in the heart of Jesus, my love.

Have we left our first love?  Have we forgotten how precious we are to Him?

Have we walked away untouched?  Have we closed our eyes to seeing His goodness?

Song of Solomon 5:2
I slept, but my heart was awake, when I heard my lover knocking and calling: “Open to me, my treasure, my darling, my dove, my perfect one. My head is drenched with dew, my hair with the dampness of the night.”
