My readers have told me that they’ve learned from me. But it’s the other way around. I’ve learned from them. by Abigail Van Buren the best of Dear Abbey – Quotesnack.com

There was a time in my life that I was so concerned with teaching others the truth  I have learned from my own personal experiences. Often obstinately and forcefully…cramming it down peoples throats…through judgement and criticism – trying so hard for someone just to hear me – but my heart was hard. I thought of myself as  – “IN THE KNOW” – as if I had some special edge on understanding. It didn’t matter if I did or I didn’t no one wanted to hear me – I WAS BOSSY…PUSHY…ARROGANT….and IGNORANT.

The bible tells us :

Jhn 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:

I have found that I need not to press anyone to understand me …I have found that I need just to love people no matter what I think. That I can trust God with me and I can trust him with others. He knows what we all need to grow. Like all the different plants in the world…in different climates…needing different scales of care…built to withstand the wind and rain, sun and darkness, cold and heat….and they make it. So shall we! The Spirit within us rises up in our mind and we just know that what we are seeing, what we are hearing, what we are looking at – is something we need and we heed to the call from within.

We are all reading each other daily….gleening information and understanding from the interactions we see. Instead of wasting time PUSHING for someone to understand you…

Go give understanding…then see what it is you receive.

I think you will see that you received Love – just what you was looking for all along…I have!!

Thanks for all the support your have shown me…I appreciate every drop!:0)
