Advent: Day 1 – He’s Coming

Advent, it means a coming into place, into view, or being; an arrival: it’s the advent of the holiday season. For me, it is the coming of Christ into the world. It’s the period beginning four Sundays before Christmas, observed in commemoration of the coming of Christ into the world.

HE IS COMING INTO MY WORLD….And Yours!

Advent, it is a bit of a foreign word like something from an older time. Like something I may have heard once before in a setting with a few people I knew to be Catholics but not something I thought that I would find interesting. I just thought of it more like something people just do, as a tradition. Kind of like, Lent, which is another old time word.

Advent …Christ coming!

As we enter into this time. Will you open your heart raw to Him? Enter into Advent. A place of hope that slowly starts to rise as we walk this journey calmly like watching soft snow falling. Slowly…Gently… Moving deeper with Him into Advent.

At times I feel like a lifeless stump. An un-molded clump. Too quick to jump after others like a blunt ax like tongue, chopping off hearts and hands reaching out. I wait and yearn for the resurrection. For the fire of love to breathe through in a moment turning round and round again and again – clash and bash. I am like a lifeless stump without Him.

But I trust….I will listen….I will follow. I will pray and speak life. I will in this season call those things that are not as though they were and in that moment Hope will arise and Faith will make a way. The SON of Heaven will arise in this heart, the moment humility comes to pass from lips to ears. It is there that I see GOD.

Advent …. I see the COMING of the SON into my world.

Advent …an old word for a new day. Today!

Journal this or at least ponder a moment and bring your thoughts to God:

Where have you been like a lifeless stump in need of the fresh breath of God’s love?

All is Grace,

Starla
