This past week we went on Vacation to Titusville, Florida.
It was beautiful sun shiny days and cool nights. We went to the beach several times and the pier to fish.
I saw many things..wanna see?
This pic I didn’t take, I got it off the net …..reason being that my son stepped into a FIRE ANT HILL and they stung the crap out of his feet and lower legs the first day we were there. I beat them off with a tissue and he wouldn’t let me put him down for a while after that. A nice man came over and gave us a sani-wipe, he said that the alcohol in it would help sooth the fire burn and it did. But the itch would return over and over …even a week later. poor little mister!
NOW ON TO PICS I DID TAKE!
This is a scrub jay.
We saw a sea turtle nest hatch
There were about 15-25 making their way to the ocean.
This here below had teeth like a dog and my husband called it a monk fish but we really don’t know what it is….
it really was a bit creepy
This is a Needle Fish….this thing had some TEETH!!
SEE!!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek
This is a baby BLUE CRAB!!! we had these as part of our Thanksgiving Dinner.. yum!
My husband caught this Sting ray.
This was really soft and slimy…..
My son was so excited catching all these things
He posed with every little fish my husband caught:
These lizards called Anole’s where running around in abundance in the back yard of the condo.
This is my Nephews first Crab catch….he was so excited!!
Pelicans at Jetty Park
This is a Soap Box crab. We were running all over the place. It was really fast. My Brother in Law caught him by surrounding him with a towel and grabbing his claws. This thing had major attitude!
One interesting this was if you turned him upside down his eyes would go into these little pockets.
These spiders were on the hot concrete in the parking lot at the beach….mean looking!!
This a Pompano Fish my husband caught out in the ocean.
And then we had this for Thanksgiving dinner :
Salad, Alligator, bacon wrapped Scallops, Rock Shrimp, Blue Crab, green bean casserole, tiger shrimp, biscuits with honey butter.
YUMMY!!!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving….we did!!
