Perhaps the wheat and tares are within each of us……and not them and us…..Consider…..

Matthew 13:24-30

The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;  but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.  But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’  He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’  But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Lets take the stand that the bible is for us PERSONALLY….INTERNALLY.

If that is the case then ….like Adam in the Garden ( the world =God’s garden) God planted good seed (ADAM) and the enemy came ( SATAN) and sowed the TARES (SIN) and when the SERVANT ( Christ ) came and said shall I gather up the tares …God said NO let them grow together until the HARVEST ( Jesus Returns ) 

Now I think God works in LAYERS ….

so going deeper…

Now God gave ADAM dominion over all the earth ( OVER OURSELVES -Free Will)  We have this dominion but we also have the sin affects from ADAM called the curse.

Genesis 3:17-18

^…So I will put a curse on the ground,
       and you will have to work very hard for your food.
    In pain you will eat its food
       all the days of your life.
The ground will produce thorns and weeds for you,
       and you will eat the plants of the field.

While these verse have practical application they also have spiritual…

The curse on the ground ( my soul ) Sin nature driving me to get its way. Producing thorns of hate and pride, weeds of jealousy and envy, thistles of greed and lust.

Thankfully through CHRIST, God has given us a means to rid ourselves of these things.

Every day we reap what we sow…

Every year comes a harvest time …

We can WORK OUT OUR OWN SALVATION (Phil. 2:12) and burn those things from our souls with the FIRE of GOD through prayer and His strength, His Light and washing of WATER, trusting in HIS ability. But to do that you have to be brutally honest with yourself and God.

Now if you are anything like me ….  HUMAN!

You may have a garden in your back yard full of Beans and Zucchini, Tomatoes and Corn…. and weeds!!!

and they grow together

and I don’t like having to deal with them so I let them grow until they are so big I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM cause I cant see the good stuff anymore.

Isn’t that how it is a times with issues in our lives…

sometimes we just don’t want to hassle with it ….and so we let it GO until it is a HUGE PROBLEM!

May we learn to pull those weed and cast them in the fire …as soon as they break ground in our hearts before they show up in our lives.
