Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections. – Amy Houtz – Facebook
Happiness is attainable. Perfection …well that is a bit more slippery. Right??
You know why I think that people think perfection is not attainable until after death or when we see Jesus…:0) Well honestly, I think it’s because there are billions of people on this earth and we all have our own definition to perfection. .. lol
PERFECTION carries with it this feel of maximum wonder-fullness. No worry…no stress…no sadness…no tears….no disagreement…no chaos….everything looks great on the outside…so it must be also on the inside..everywhere..right??
I see this shining light that flickers… it’s a thought in the distance…and as I reach to it and look….I see that people say that JESUS was perfect. In 1 John 4 :17 the bible says that as he is, so are we in this world. Do you see that ….as HE IS…so ARE WE ….not after death but….IN THIS WORLD.
Maybe what we think is perfection is not really perfection….maybe it is some hybrid thought that has hi-jacked our perceptions and we just think perfection can’t exist now…it just will be later.
1Pe 5:10 | But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]. |
I find it interesting that it says that after we have suffered a while we will be made perfect and established, strengthened and settled…could it be that perfection comes through the lessons we learn??? Is life not set up to teach us??
Hmmmmmmm?? Anyway…….like in the quote at the top….it says that happiness is about looking past the imperfections. This is good advise because what it really means is that we have to look past WHAT WE THINK are imperfections in others and things around us and just choose to be happy with what is. Not settle for less…not stop striving for the best…but to simple accept what is and BE HAPPY.
