The nearer you get to any human being, the more defects you see! – Harriet Beecher Stowe -Quotesnack.com-thanks!
Relationships are hard sometime, because the closer you get to people the more you see who they are. The quote above says that we see the defects…do you know what defects are?? Defects are our way of saying “NOT LIKE ME!”
Really if we werent so stuck on ourselves and our way then we wouldnt see others as having defects …possible we would see the beautiful rainbow of colors that comes from the diamond of God’s image we are all made of….
So go on get up close with people…see them in all their glory …and love them anyway…no matter how different they may be from you :0)
I will be away for a few days from the blog…maybe!!…Christmas Time is HERE!! I bless you all with love and light in Christ Jesus our Lord for whom we celebrate!!
No problem. 🙂 It’s neat to see how you’ve picked out different phrases and different meanings.

Good stuff. 🙂
In case you were wondering, “the nearer you get to any human being, the more defects you see” is part of a passage I excerpted today. It’s from Harriet Beecher Stowe. She had a way of combining personal philosophy with real-life application.
Because of reaction to her book “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” upon meeting her, Lincoln said, “So you’re the little woman who wrote the book that made this great war!”

Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! That was a wonderful reminder! It’s far too easy to see the stuff we DON’T like in everyone else and pat ourselves on the back without seeing our own “defects”. Thanks for sharing that!! 🙂
