Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
How often during the course of a day do you find yourself judging, criticizing and evaluating others? Do you defend your judgments because you believe you’re right? How often do you disregard another point of view because you self-righteously believe that your view is more loving and more caring or right?
Can you tell when you are judging? I can tell when others are judging me, but knowing when i am is a little harder to percieve. It kind of feels like when you were a little kid. You are getting corrected. Sometimes its said kindly and other times it feels like a beating. None the less its judging.
See if you can feel the presence of the poison flowing within you when you begin to judge another. Its there. Listen to your thoughts. Its there.
Judging is hurtful. So what if someone else sees it differently then you. There is a way to state your view with out judging. “thats an interesting way i never thought of before…..i always saw it as_____. Mostly you hear ” Yeah BUT…… I always saw this as – whatever you just said BUT…i know i said it that way.
Kindness and openness goes a long way. I learned this lesson and wish to continue it.
So much peace comes when you arent fighting in your mind against yourself and others. Against yourself when guilt slides in an says ” geeee you were kind of rude…..and others when they avoid you.
