Spring has finally arrived after winter tried to hold on hard this year.
I have been away for Lent. That will finish up on Resurrection Sunday. But I wanted to stop in over here because we have had a lot going on with birthdays, senior photos and road trips.
Birthday #1
First up, my youngest boy is now 18.
Dear Son, where did the time go?

Senior Photos:
Son in law’s brother, Josh Furrow an excellent photographer and videographer came for Dear 2nd Granddaughters birthday.

Birthday #2
Dear Grand #2 turned 5 – She is a bright ray of Sunshine.

Road Trip Day 1
Mom and I took a road trip to Arkansas. We left a day early to miss the giant snowstorm. The drive was great. We saw my sister on the way down at Lake of the Ozarks.

Day 2
My mom and I are adventurous. We are known to turn at any random brown sign. Brown signs indicate a nearby park or cultural interest site. The first one we stopped at was Glade Top Trail. These brown signs are known to head you off the beaten path and on to some pretty rural and rugged roads, but the views are amazing. Today was the mountain top drive.

We drove the dirt road through to the other side and then ended up on top.

Down the other side, we began to see houses again. I didn’t get a photo of the sign, but it said, “Entering Redneck Territory, where we use guns, pray, and wave American flags. The stream through there was awesome.

Day 3
We headed out for the day – The views were amazing.

The history is awesome

and found a beautiful spring and lake (Mirror Lake and Spring)

Later that day we ended up on the road to Nowhere looking for Loafers Glory

Since we saw no loafers or glory we headed over to Buffalo Point

Day 4
This day we took back roads to a little spot called Zinc with a swinging bridge

Spontaneous roadside stop called Grinders Ferry

Then to Colliers Homestead

The we took this crazy road at the brown sign to Red Bluff Overlook.

This one paid off. When we got up there a car was already parked. The license plate said Shawnee Nation. There we two beautiful native women up there. And it was a beautiful spot.

Day 5
We headed back to see my sister again and stopped at Devils Spring and Pool

Then up top to Big Cedar Overlook — overlooking Table Rock Lake

Day 6
Stopped in at Bennet Springs –look closely and you will see all the trout fisherman and women.

It was a lovely trip with my mom.
We drove a total of 1514 miles.
Thanks for listening,
