Hello Monday #83

Yesterday dear daughter turned 27.

She is now the mother of 4. Where did the time go? I still remember her princess dressing 4-year-old days, and her 12-year-old figuring out my own style ways, and her 17-year-old helping self, her young “I just got married” move to a tiny home, and I’m a mom, now 2, and moving again, then 3, and now saying its ok to say “this is hard” with 4. One thing remained the same. Her sweet loving, take a deep breath and keep going with a kind spirit, self. Happy birthday baby girl.

My favorite Substack from this past week:

I give you the keys….

The “keys of the kingdom” Jesus spoke of weren’t a single key but keys—plural. These represent authority and access given by Christ to His followers. Keys open and shut, bind and loose, grant entrance and deny it. Jesus gave His church spiritual authority, not to wield in pride, but to align with heaven’s will on earth. With these keys, we stand in agreement with God’s Word, unlocking freedom, shutting out the enemy, and pointing people to Christ, who alone is the Door.

Something that touched my heart:

A couple favorite moments from this past weekend:

My Mom and I, my daughter and her family went to the zoo in Omaha this past weekend. We did a little galivanting drive too.

THURSDAY

Bass Pro (dear son in laws request)

Then we stopped at the tree in the middle of the road:

“The story is when the county lines were being established the surveyor placed a green cottonwood stick into the ground at the exact point where the lines crossed and grew into the present tree.”

We checked out the Danish Windmill in Elkhorn:

FRIDAY

Henry Doorley Zoo – Omaha NE

SATURDAY

We stopped at the park before we hit a thrift store.

Then we split ways – daughter fam headed home, and mom and I kept galivanting. Stopped at a lake

Roseman covered bridge

Through Harmon tunnel at Pammel State Park

It was a good weekend
