FAVORITE POST FROM THIS PAST WEEK:
I was reading a blog and came across this statement:
As believers, do we know how the law changed when the arrival of the New Covenant rendered the Old Covenant “obsolete”?
Obsolete: no longer practiced or used, out of date, gone out of use, of a discarded type
Where does that even come from?

FAVORITE TIME FROM THIS PAST WEEK:
My mom and I hang out with the littles on Wednesday nights. This week my mom prepped a craft for them to do.

HAPPY DANCE MOMENT:
My sister came to town, she has her own business in cleaning, so I asked for help. We worked side by side for a few hours in the morning. We attacked my house. BUT IT IS THE JOY of this room being like this that gives me so much peace.

It’s glorious!
A portion I enjoyed:
The enemy will and has always tried to get us to do his bidding. This would be just one more arm of that.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12
So, if the enemy has a scheme and a tactic – a way to get his thoughts into our heads, what do we do about that?
First, we need to know what is it that produces thought? All of us are walking around every day with a million thoughts flying through our minds. But where do they come from?
33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. 34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
Matthew 12:33-35
It is the heart. Thoughts are birthed from the heart. The heart is not just an emotion emitter. It is also where our intentions, reasoning, and right and wrong choices are produced. Our heart is a receiver. It will produce more of what we give it.
It will produce what it is filled with for good or for evil.
Fill it with good and good will come out.
Fill it with evil and evil will come out.
Much of the science of thought has been used to persuade. Advertising companies are designed to influence thought, perception, and behavior—often subtly—by appealing to desires, emotions, and perceived needs. It uses the eye to desire, so that the heart feels the want, and that produces the thought to buy.
So if man is doing what it can to get us to think a certain way through advertisement and the devil can put evil intention in the heart like with Judas (John 13:2), Ananias (Acts 5:3), and even Peter.
23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
Matthew 16:23
Then how does God do it?
“Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
Deuteronomy 11:18
Therefore YOU SHALL — We have to choose to put His word in our hearts.
By putting God’s word into our hearts we learn His voice and we can then be led.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
John 10:27
So what does this all mean? We are receivers, containers for something, vessels to be poured into. What we let in, will come out. This is how we protect ourselves. We learn what God sounds like by putting His Word in our hearts. Then when we, man, devil, or anything thing sounding in our ears. We will not follow or take it in.
