Hello Monday #73

on

Hello Welcome to another Monday!

I’ve been reading through Acts and writing about it over on my Substack.

2 recent favorites are both in chapter 15:

The main verse of my interest was this:

28 It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: 29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.

Farewell.

Acts 15:23-29

After reading the council’s judgment and the letter they sent to the churches, I couldn’t stop thinking about the content of those requirements. I had left my Bible open to Leviticus to dig deeper into the foundations behind their decisions.

That led me to take a closer look at both the four requirements in Acts 15 and the four key words used in Leviticus. I’ve compiled those notes into a PDF download for you.

A simple but powerful song:

Something I have heard from the Lord:

Whatever you write or speak add encouragement and appreciation!

So look for that. How about now?

I appreciate all my readers. I don’t know who many of you are. I would encourage you to write comments and connect whether that is here or over at Substack where I tend to put all my studying through the Bible these days.

Thanks for Listening,

Starla

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me.
