Hello Monday #69

Dream:

I had a dream that all my family was in this open area of a yard. There was a round stage, or elevated space that these people came and climbed on top of it. They were about to throw all this fruit at us, and we protested and told them they were going to hurt someone. One of the plums rolled over by my foot. I picked it up and tossed it back. I hit a lady in the hand. She came unglued on me about it. I told her, “Ok, you can throw one at me.” But she was about to punch me in the face. I said, “You can’t do that.

Sometimes we get into these, what an old man I use to work for called, “an old-fashioned pissing match” with other people. They do something we don’t like. So, we do something back. And around and around we go. Blaming the other for the situation that we are both in.

After that dream I thought: Beware Christian that you don’t use your fruit to destroy each other. The things we’ve learned or grown in. The things we’ve suffered and died to ourselves for. These are not for proving each other wrong. These are for glorifying God.

FAMILY:

My momma moved here 2 weeks ago, and we’ve been very busy.

My son has been building couches, chairs, shelves, and end tables.

My sister came this past weekend to visit, and my little grands kept her busy. lol

Yesterday we planted things and today we got more plants

It’s been lovely to be with my Momma.

Something Good:

I started a Spiritual Warfare class this past Thursday.

Did you know that Satan has a headquarters and a highly organized kingdom in the heavenlies. He has his own kingdom. He has authority that is recognized by the Bible. And we struggle against this kingdom.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world, and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”

 Ephesians 6:12

However

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Paul uses various words from various different translations now; these are the words: imaginations, reasonings, speculations, arguments, knowledge and thought. One thing is obvious: every one of those words refers to the same particular realm, the realm of the mind. This is something we absolutely have to understand. The battleground is in the realm of the mind. Satan is waging an all-out war to captivate our minds.

In the class, we decided that this week we would try to identify the stronghold that Satan uses on us each, individually and try to catch ourselves when we are thinking or speaking in a way that expresses this stronghold. Then we were going to look up a verse or two in the Bible that referenced that strongholds expression or action. Then speak and pray those verses out loud when we are in the middle of a struggle with it.

Something I thought goes right with this:
