Hello Monday #65

Have you been wondering – what in the world is going on?

Has your heart been grumbling? Where are these words taking you?

14 It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, 15 to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” 16 These are grumblers….

Jude 1:14

The one primary expression of these ungodly men Jude says, “these men are grumblers.” Grumbling is a sure mark of ungodliness just as persistent praise is an evidence of godliness.

A little story

I was walking through a room in the early morning and I almost tripped over a laundry basket. As I was fall stepping over it, I heard in my mind, “Son of a Buck.” Which is funny to me because I’ve never used that phrase before. I sort of giggled as I began to ponder why I said that. When I asked myself why that thought was “because someone who doesn’t put thing where they belong is bucking the system.”

It was enlightening! Anyway. As I finished up what I was doing in that room in the first place, I pondered again, “Why does it have to be bucking the system? Is that just because it is not what I would do?” UGH — When you are reading a book and it asks you to begin questioning why you think what you think and come to the conclusion that you do, ya might just find out that you base alot of how you decide on your own way.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Funny thing… I came home from a long day and said I am going to go for a walk. I laid my sweater on the console of the TV and my hubby says, “Are you just gonna leave that there?”

Who gets to decide where things go? lol

Have you seen this?

I tend to dabble in what people call conspiracy theories. I like to know what people are talking about of there. I find it interesting! So, here’s this one – they call “Chemtrails.” 31 states have taking action to try and stop it.

An unsubstantiated conspiracy theory that claims the US government is controlling the weather, or its citizens, by spraying dangerous “chemtrails” from airplanes has now made its way into several state legislatures where it could manifest into real-life laws. It’s an example of how unproven and off-the-wall theories are bubbling into mainstream discourse under the Trump administration, many of which sow distrust in the government. This effort in particular could prevent actual scientists and engineers from slowing the breakneck pace of global warming, which is inflicting a devastating toll on Americans in the form of extreme weather. Florida’s legislature is moving along a bill that would ban geoengineering and weather modification in the state, and an Alabama legislative committee discussed a similar bill last week. Last year, Tennessee lawmakers banned the release of airborne chemicals, which critics called “nonsense.” CNN

What I find most interesting is the logical questioning I find here behind the words?

  • If they aren’t spraying the skies and they are just as is implied unproven and off-the-wall theories, why are 31 states drawing up legislation?
  • If they are spraying the skies — why is the conversation bent in a negative frame against stopping it? Who benefits from that?
  • What are the impacts of spraying and why isn’t natural sky as God made it ok?
  • If, as this article says, if this effort in particular could prevent actual scientists and engineers from slowing the breakneck pace of global warming. What does spraying the skies have to do with global warming? Again, what is the impact of its intention?
  • If spraying has to do with global warming, and stopping it could be the devastating toll on Americans in the form of extreme weather – If we are already having extreme weather what role has the spraying played?
  • How long has it been going on?
