Lent Comedy
In my post for Lent Day 1 – I wrote about dust.
For he knows we are but dust 15 and that our days are few and brief, like grass, like flowers, 16 blown by the wind and gone forever.
Psalm 103:14-16
In my writing I was going to say…. Ashes, over the centuries, became a representation of Lent that marked a cross on the forehead of those who choose to remember that we are (BUT DUST –like that verse…. but instead, I said we are finite. I am finite. I am dust.
I couldn’t bring myself to say BUT DUST … all I could see in my imagination was
A song for you and me

Leanna Crawford – Still Waters (Psalm 23)
The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want
He leads me by still waters ‘til my fears are gone
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
O I know You are with me My father, my friend
Your goodness and mercy will follow me all of my days
I know by Your still waters I’m safe
Something Grace Filled and Good

A hymn from 1904 – God will take care of you
Be not dismayed whate’er betide,
God will take care of you;
Beneath His wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.
Refrain:
God will take care of you,
Through every day, o’er all the way;
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you.
Through days of toil when heart doth fail,
God will take care of you;
When dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you.
All you may need He will provide,
God will take care of you;
Nothing you ask will be denied,
God will take care of you.
No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you;
Lean, weary one, upon His breast,
God will take care of you.
Thanks for Listening,
