He’s almost 17

He had been doing parent led drivers ed for the last several months. We are almost finished. At Christmas, we got him a little 4 speed truck. And last week he successfully navigated keeping us out of a collision when an impatient semi-truck driver pulled out in front of us as we were going 55. I had a small panic attack while yelling slow down. He stayed calm and in control of the vehicle while downshifting and hitting the breaks, hugging the shoulder for a little extra time for that truck to get out of the way and then returning to speed limit. I was shaken up but also impressed with this young man we held it together and handle his business.

Collections

Collections we all have them. Something that just catches our attention and we keep adding just one more. I started picking up a rock on my little travel trips with my friend, my mom, and hubby. And a few other little things I found. Now I have this little collection. But my mom gave me the idea to write on them where I got them. She’s a genius.

It’s the things we collect that speak to where we have been and where we are going.

I’ve been trying to be “output” Starla. I have a lot of ideas, likeable things to share, and writing creations. But I have been doing my best to let that trickle out slow and less high output. lol Its not that I don’t write or share. I just don’t push to get it out.

Spring is coming March 20th — this is when it is time to go.
