Hello Monday #46

This past week’s share notes:

I voted early this year. That was a different experience than how it is done on “election day.”

I came down with a sinus junk cold and missed the Fall Block party at church. Booooooo!

We have a – last Thursday of the month – rhythm at church for the staff. We gather to slow down and share where we are. It keeps us tethered to how we are actually doing and to each other. I talked about welcoming the slowdown in my life. I talked about my mind wanting to run but I’ve put a stopping space in the beginning and end of my day to enter the stillness where God is. In that place, I don’t strive, run, or think I need to keep going. I just be still, in the silence, in the stillness, in the waiting space where God is. No time. No rush. It is peaceful there.

New things this month:

This month I am joining my church with a Give Thanks Challenge. I have been doing this for several now. I always look forward to the month of November. It is a time to rest, to slow down, and cut the need to run, go, and keep doing.

It is also my birthday month. I turned 47 on Sunday. I welcome this year and ask for the blessings of God in it.

Song for you to listen to:

A moment to reflect on:

God told me at the beginning of 2024 to look for the grace even on the dumpster fire days. And on Nov 2nd as I was praying and talking to the Lord about a new way of “walking” I want to do. I heard Him say, “Circumspectly.” When I went to look that word up I found that it means:

  • to look around on all sides watchfully, cautious, prudent, examining.

One of the things I like to look into is Gods time cycles. I, by no means understand it all, but I am learning. On Nov 1 we entered into a new season on Gods prophetic calendar. After the Lord said that word to me, I looked up where we are in the prophetic calendar again. To look more closely at it. We switch into the year 5785 – The number 5 is grace and the letter “Hey” that represents 5 means “to look” or “behold.” <— God is so good!

If you yell, “HEY!” …. doesn’t everyone turn to look? lol God really is a genius.

Let’s look at that number 5785 again — that is 2 number 5’s — so we just switched into a double grace, grace period or grace upon grace. Most of us tend to hear grace and think blessings or favor, maybe even forgiveness but we forget that grace is also repentance. It is his grace to expose our darkness. (I wrote what God taught me about grace here)

I came across this quote talking about this kind of grace while researching.

For grace to occur, you must have conviction, the revelation of sin, the judgment, or the commencement of a judgment, followed by the act of repentance through both confession and the literal act of turning away from the sin. Without the conviction, there is no revelation, no emergence of the truth, and therefore no direction – so something occurs to bring forward a conviction over a people or nation. Then, in addition, a judgment is given. If there were ever a time needed for a pause, for a redirect, this year would be the year to believe and stand firm upon God’s incredible grace and promises upon your life.

In what way is God saying, “HEY!” to you?

A message I came back across that I spoke back 7 years ago. wow! It was relevant then and even more now.

Thanks for listening,
