Where’s your abundance

DAY 17 – Blessed to be a blessing

Today’s Scripture:

3 John 1:2- 4 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

John again says “Beloved” this title of the “loved ones” – and prays for us to prosper in all things, to be in health, and to also have a soul that prospers.

Prosper: To favor; to render successful.

Favor … this is grace… he is calling for grace to be in and on all we do and that we would succeed!

So, What abundance do you have?

The hardest part about succeeding and prospering in our inability to see what we do have. Sometimes our perspective keeps us from see how blessed we are. Sometimes we are too busy complaining. But this is what we have as the Beloved of God. FAVOR!

As we live this out – walking in the favor we have – being a blessings to others, and not throwing it away in complaint, others will see and speak the truth that we are truly blessed.

Action:

Think of 1-3 people that you spend regular time with outside your family (This could be at work, in passing at your grocery store, or even in the building that you live) people you have built a little relationship with and are able to have a little influence for good on their lives. Bless them today. Speak words of encouragement or do an act of kindness, or gift.

Take time to note what blessings you have and be a blessing to others today!
