God will see to it that we are taken care of. In fact, He sees a need and acts in deed. God observes and serves. No wonder He calls us to care for each other.
to FEED the hungry
to LOVE the unlovely
to HELP the needy
You don’t need to climb mountains named I WILL PERFORM. You don’t need to climb mountains named I will PRODUCE. Every mountain that every Christian ever faces, the Lord levels with sufficient grace:
THE LORD WILL PROVIDE.
Ann Voskamp
Can we simply rest in that!?
ADVENT – Eyes to see grace in action that has come to level every need with provision.
PRO – expert VISION – seeing
God the expert who sees just how to deal with everything. Can we have Faith that He does? Abraham had that kind of faith when God spoke, “Bring Isaac to the top and give his life to Me.” I’d always thought this story was about God testing if Abraham would obey. Glen Packingham said, “God spoke into a pagan culture to a man who heard His voice in a way that was understandable for him in a culture of human sacrifice and appeasing the god’s above.” At long last, I see God wasn’t asking for the un-ask-able. He was showing Abraham how He is the giver. That He is a provider and wholly different than other gods.

The world is always after our un-ask-ables. It desires to take from us everything that is dear. It barrels down on us to work harder and make more money. Stealing our time from our family. It calls us to be more efficient and get more out of your day. So we push and push, raising our blood pressure, just to pass the test and trial half dying in the process either by body or soul. The whole world is geared like that. Every where we turn there is another article or link to click:

How to be more..can you imaging…How to be more ???
I want to scream , “NO!” because more is already provided. He is the more that we seek and when I seek Him – I find rest for my weary ways. He gives me grace for all the gaps in my life:
G – goals -when I want to accomplish something
A– activities – when life is so busy yet I want to live with purpose
P– people -when there are so many both difficult and wonderful all at the same time
S– self – when I am tired and running empty and need Him to fill my cup
GAPS – God Always Provides Salvation – He is in these trenches with us!
He gives Himself. He is the One who I can cling to when the world tries to keep it’s hold on me. He provides and I can walk in kindness. He provides and I can walk in love. He provides and I can be a blessing. All because of HE IS THE GREAT PROVIDER – He gave Christ the ONE who saved me from myself and from this task driven world.
no more hurry, full of worry
no more do I sink or swim
JESUS turns my eyes from my need for God and has provided me …..HIMSELF!
When I see Him I notice how its been settled all along and I can can trust the giver and His gift.
Journal this or at least ponder and bring your thoughts to God:
How have you thought it was God asking for an un-ask-able but really it is the world? Where are the trench GAPS He is working on in your life? How is your faith that He is filling them in?
All is grace,
