Maybe you have to be living on the inside of a struggle to really understand that struggle’s landscape, or even its existence. –

Struggles…something we all do not like to be in but yet what we all endure at one time or another. To struggle is to proceed with difficulty or great effort. Struggling is often not a fun place to be. Often it is a painful process that requires us to dig deep into ourselves and find a strength that we alone do not possess. We sometimes will look around us to other people reaching out for help. Running into those who behave to have the answers and yet have never walked a similar road. They have never felt the sting of a death in the family. They have never had a child hell bent on destroying themselves with drugs. They have never dealt with a person of mental illness. They have never alot of things.

What if we struggle with things so that we may know how to lift another. What if we struggle so that we can come to the end of ourselves and look and see that strength is there in the face of God when we have fallen as far as we can so He can pick us up and heal our hurt.

Sometimes we see God in a way that says ” He did this to me and I dont like him for it!”

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God

We go through this life to learn who we are…why we are here…the things we endure are to produce fruit in our lives for good…we can see it that way  like He is out to get us…but the truth is we are being taught, taught to be that image of God we were created to be. We have all sorts of destruction that lives in our thinking – hatred, self-righteousness, selfishness, denial, guilt, fear, insecurity, and many more. The point of having struggles is to learn to love, have courage, to be selfless, kindhearted, find peace, live joyful. It seems strange to gain some of these qualities from our struggling. Yet, God in His wisdom has made us to be able to find peace in the midst of the storm. To come up higher and love when others have attitudes that may be ugly. To stand on the rock even if it looks like the world is falling apart. To be able to grow and learn. To see and hear truth. To love and enjoy life even when we are in a struggle. To help eachother along the way…because we have been there, and if you havent – listen to them, cry with your friends, lift their spirit, be a blessing.

Struggles are the best way to keep ourselves from becoming completely arrogant! Can you imagine how sinfully prideful we’d become if we NEVER had to endure a little hardship?! Great post yet again my friend!! Really a good thought to think on for the day!
